About Us

Michelle and I met in around the year of 2010, both struggling to keep up with the demands of raising big families. Both of us had come from similar back grounds, experiencing a lot of the same hard knocks life had thrown our way. We were like twins in many ways with our likes, our hopes, our dreams, and yes... ideas of business adventures, both of us having worked in very similar industries. With both of us working dead end minimum wage jobs with very minimal hours, we joined together to hustle up scrap metal and took our findings to the local scrap yards, collecting a few dollars each day for our next family meal, pizza night or a weekend outing with the kids! With an old rusty, but trusty, pickup truck we hit the streets gathering and collecting scrap metal from alleyways, neighborhood trash days, apartment complex dumpsters and bulk pickup areas, and local area businesses.

While we were out collecting we were able to meet many of the neighborhood residents in the areas in which we scrapped. We were then asked and hired to do odd jobs for area homeowners, after all, everyone needs someone from time to time with a pickup truck!

One of our local area businesses loved our go-getter attitude and invited us to come daily and carry out the daily trash. One of the perks we received by going to this business was an unlimited supply of aluminum cans we were able to obtain on a daily basis as they gave out free pop to all of their customers all day long!

This business had a steady stream of regular, daily clientele. Everyone loved our work ethic and humble, helpful attitude, and of course the fact that we had a pickup truck! Customers of this local business began asking the store manager about us when they had a need for an odd job, or needed someone that had a pickup truck. We began accepting odd jobs as the customers needed us. News spread from customer to customer on how great a team we were and how we were able to help them with their project!

One morning, the business manager pulled us to the side to tell us of how in need and valuable our services were and that we should try to market ourselves and advertise our services. Market ourselves? I had no idea of how to go about doing this. She suggested placing an add on Craigslist, I went straight home and did just that!

Placing an ad was no easy feat. I am a hands on labor person. I am not a skilled computer professional! The first task that I had to overcome was a name. HMM.....We started out as " 2 Women With A Pickup Truck ". The name said who we were, what we had to work with, and was a perfect fit for doing odd jobs. As our hustle expanded into a full blown business with a specialty, we started adding trailers to the scene. In order to let potential customers know that we were able to take on larger scale jobs with a trailer, we added " And Trailer Too " to our name.  Eventually we became an LLC and we became listed as " 2 Women With A Pickup Truck And Trailer Too LLC". Unfortunately, it is a super long name created totally by accident, but it stuck like glue and our customers loved it. So here we are!
