That service includes our time, labor, fuel, insurance, and the ongoing wear and tear on our trucks and trailers every time they are used. We work hard to keep our pricing affordable, but we cannot provide free services or operate on the hope that an item may be resold.

However, when items are in good, usable condition, we do our best to rehome or donate them to families or charities whenever possible. Giving usable items a second life is something we truly care about, but it does not replace the cost of providing removal services.

Scrap metal is another area where expectations can be misunderstood. Scrap yards do pay for recyclable metal, but the rate is typically only 3–5 cents per pound. For example, a refrigerator may only bring in $5–$10 total at a scrap yard. It takes a very large amount of metal to add up to meaningful value. All scrap metal we collect is recycled properly and never disposed of in a city landfill.

That said, we do our best to be fair.

 

Small household items in modern, clean, like-new condition—such as dishes, cookware, rugs, towels, small appliances, or décor—may not be included in your final cost or may be discounted when combined with a paid junk or trash removal job. Clean recyclable scrap metal may also be discounted when included with a paid haul.

A Simple Example: If you have half a trailer load of trash that requires disposal, along with a few boxes of clean, modern donatable items and a non-working microwave, all located in your garage and ready for removal, you would be charged for the trash portion of the load. The donatable items and broken microwave may be discounted or not charged at all. Our goal is always to price jobs fairly while providing responsible, professional service.

Donation drop-offs also require additional time and coordination.
